The option to pause membership
Jocelyn Seamer
I would like my members to have the option to pause rather than unsubscribe. Right now, they can unsubscribe without anything popping up and asking them if they'd like to pause for a period of time instead. It would be really useful as my membership is for teachers who will cancel over breaks. I'd like to not have to chase them to sign up again.

Totally agree would be a great feature - client retention...

Let the customer pause their membership

I love the new pause membership feature. However, it is only possible for the admin to do it. Could you please add it to the customer end too, so when customers try to cancel their subscription they are offered the chance to pause it instead? Thanks 🙏

It would be great to have this feature. I thought it already existed.

Just love it

Ahh this could have some potential! 😍
It would be awesome to have a pop up or something asking them if they want to pause instead of canceling.
I would like it to come with some setting like "maximum periode of time the subscription can be paused" and "only if customer has this tag/doesn's have this tag"

Having the option to Pause rather than cancel will make members feel more in control. Great request which I have upvoted too.

I, and many many of my clients, would love this too! A feature has just been completed where we as the account administrator can pause a subscription on request by a member, which is really great - but the next step in offering a brilliant retention process is allowing members to 'pause', over 'cancel', their membership themselves, so they feel completely in control of their own subscription.
As admins, we should be able to select which products/subscriptions allow members to pause themselves as I'm sure there will be some cases where we don't want to allow members that extra level of control - but for the most part, offering a "wait, would you rather pause your subscription for up to X months" when someone clicks to cancel their subscription would often go a long way in member retention and good feeling.
An even more useful next step would be the ability to ask "why are you pausing right now" as part of the process, to help us learn the needs and habits of our members.
The new pause feature will be great, but we can make it even better for member "exit" journeys 🙏🙏

Kristina Smith: That is an excellent idea to ask why they are pausing.

I wanted that too and the Pause option is now active if you have a look under a member's account - it's great we can do this now!
