Social Media Space like FB inside Simplero
complete
Holly Dean
I've just been introduced to Mighty Networks and I think it would be a fabulous alternative to Facebook for my course and membership groups.
EDIT: Actually, I just discovered Circle.so which is better because it’s only focused on community engagement.
Are there any plans for Simplero to include a simple, friendly community based space where members can engage like this?
Forums have not had any interaction in my membership group so I’ve gone to FB but I would love to have it all in Simplero. Thanks! 💕

I want to report that when I told our community that this would be rolling out in our internal community and that we wouldn't need to be on Facebook anymore... there were cheers of joy and sighs of relief!! Our people LOVE THIS! Thank you so much Simplero(Calvin Correli) for creating this. It's going to help us grow and differentiate as a community.
SO grateful! 🙏 Please tell the team Kudos from us!!

Hi Karen Kenney!
You can turn it On temporarily as an admin on your sites profile menu (see screenshot).
If you would like to make it visible to your members, you can also turn if On for all in the site Configure tab > Community features.
You can learn about Communities in Simplero on our help guide here: https://help.simplero.com/courses/1837-how-to-guides/lessons/1546861-communities

Is there an update, please?

Posting in here to see if there is a projected date when this will be released?
Siif Floor
Sorry, but I am so curious 🙈🙈😅
And I know that you are busy... But a quick update on how this is coming along would make my day 🥰💃🕺

Calvin Correli
Siif Floor: Top of mind for me. Currently working with the designers figuring out what it should all look like while the engineers are busy working on a new page builder which is going to be KILLER.
Siif Floor
Calvin Correli: Yay. That is awesome 😍
Thanks for the heads up 💃❤️🕺😍🥰

Allow Messaging Members in Membership Site
Robin Green
I would love to be able messages to members within a membership site without having to create a broadcast on the back end. This would provide a quick way to communicate individually with a member or a group of members and keep everything on the platform avoiding emailing.

Maybe related to this one that is on the roadmap already? https://simplero.canny.io/feature-requests/p/social-media-space-like-fb-inside-simplero
Robin Green
Tue Olesen: Yep, that's it! I was buried in the comments so I didn't see it when i was searching. Thank you!
Cathleen King
Yes, we agree! We would also REALLY like to be able to have our members direct message each other as well. Huge bump to improved member messaging features, please. It would be great if members had a messaging "inbox" similar to many social media sites.

Hi Calvin,
any updates on this?
I'm about to launch a brand new year-long Daily Game with content posted each day.
And I'm wondering... do I make it a Course as I would do previously? Or would/could this be something that would be like a daily Drip post within a Social Forum?
Also... perhaps I don't fully understand what this Social Media Space is going to be and if it's going to replace / supplant the existing Course structure with Comments attached to lessons.
Please advise.
Thanks.
:-)

Calvin Correli Update? 👆😊😊
Calvin Correli
Siif Floor: We'll get there, but it'll take a bit longer.
Hired three engineers and a great product designer, which will give us more capacity.
But first we'll get the shopping cart all finished and deployed.
2 months or so to start seeing this pop into place would be my best estimate.
Siif Floor
Calvin Correli: Yay! Thanks for the update 🥰
Teresa Sigmon
Calvin Correli: My fingers are crossed your team of geniuses are having successcreating up a responsive, community-building platform!
Calvin Correli
Teresa Sigmon: we 100% will, there's no question, it's only a matter of time and resources.
And I feel confident it'll happen this year.
I know it's been a long time in the making, but it required some additional talent, which we have now.
Watch out, this ship is going places! 🤗
Nicole Warner
Calvin Correli: Is this something that will be released all at once, or perhaps in parts?
Calvin Correli
Nicole Warner: in parts.
We're currently working on DM/chat, because a customer is paying us to develop that part.
Next we need to sort out navigation/information architecture for sites/app. The way it currently is needs some help.
Then we can begin to release piece by piece as they're done, once we have the framework they can all fit within.
Nicole Warner
Calvin Correli: AWESOME. Thanks for sharing the overview, that's really helpful for people who think like me. Please give that other customer a long-distance high 5 from me, my customers will really enjoy the DM feature, too! :)
Looking forward to it all!

Isn’t this what the “Forum” feature is? Or maybe that’s why the Forum we use George Kao isn’t so engagement friendly, because it wasn’t actually designed that way. If so, I’d love to see this “social engagement area” feature take shape in Simplero.
