Possibility of a default email signature
Sarah Eskildsen-Mortensen
Hi Team
It would be great having the possibility to create a "global" email signature that rolls out on all auto-mails, broadcasts etc. with an option of turning it on/off either on specific emails - or it simply popping up as standard text in the email, and thereby having the option to make slight changes.

From all the feedback, it sounds to me like it should be part of an email template, and then you can choose the relevant template based on context.
Sarah Eskildsen-Mortensen
Calvin Correli makes complete sense to have it in the email design templates.
I’m not sure if you’re at some point looking into the email content viewing for when you’re writing the email - if/when that’s going to happen it would be great that you have a kind of wysiwyg builder type for emails as well. So you more easily can see the final result of the email and maybe the email design content will show as a greyed out area. it would probably also make it easier to place media files how you want them in an email.
(But maybe this last part should be its own feature request - my mind just kept buzzing with ideas)
Calvin Correli
For those who want this, what would you want to put there, and what are you looking to achieve by putting it there?
I want to make sure I understand the desire, because it's not something I've ever noticed in other people's broadcasts or come across elsewhere.

Calvin Correli To me, it means a standard signature block that automatically populates. Usually including the name, title, maybe some social links, a headshot, etc. Right now, I use global snippets for this but the code has to be added manually every time. It would be great to have a button on the email edit screen that adds it so we can control the exact placement within the email body.
Directory Toolkit
Calvin Correli I think the issue is there is only a "Add text to footer in emails to this [product/list/site]." Many emails may not not be to a list "Specific contacts, Tagged contacts, Segments, Participants, Affiliates, etc" I think the general ask would be a normal email signature block in email settings that can always be added.
Calvin Correli
Valerie Tate Have you tried the Newsletter feature? It has a footer that applies to every email in that Newsletter series. Would that do it?
Calvin Correli
Directory Toolkit I get that.
What do you want to put in there personally?
Reason I'm asking is, I don't know what I'd want to put in there for literally every email, whether it was for someone who registered for a 1:1 meeting with me, my general newsletter, one-off promo email to a group of people, etc. literally across the board.
But maybe there is.
That's what I'm trying to figure out.
Directory Toolkit
Calvin Correli Again it probably wouldbn't be in every one, more of a saved signature that Valerie mentioned, that was an easy add signature when sending or not, so wouldn't be on absolutely everything. Came up for our other software, here is how they accomplished. https://marketing.dubb.com/v/QHrOL6

Calvin Correli Yes, I and several of my clients use the newsletter feature. The footer there could be used for a signature block but it feels more like an area for disclaimers or extra info. The signature block is normally at the end of and is part of the email body. Plus, many more emails go out via Broadcast emails and automations than via a Newsletter queue.

Calvin Correli many of my clients wants something that mimics their email signature from outlook, gmail or whereever they send out day-to-day communitation emails from.
And by having it as a Global block/setting somewhere (maybe email design), they have easy access to change it if they want to highlight a new product and just make sure it's up to date.
Right now if you do it by footer on lists, you have to go through all lists and make sure you haven't forgotten to change it somewhere.
Most of my clients would have:
Name
Company
Logo/image
Call to actions (social links)
I would probably put in the attahed info on my own - as this is what's currentlig in my outlook signature.

Calvin Correli Nicci Lou has a really awesome signature that is both animated but also includes links, information about her, and her headshot. It helps add some great personalization to the end of the email

Justine Weir thank you, I can send you a reply to one of your emails if you want to see it Calvin Correli

Sarah Eskildsen-Mortensen agreed. my Google signature is an uploaded picture that has my name, title, site, business #, and logo. Clicking on it links to my website. Duplicating the Header options in the Email Designs settings as Footer options would probably work. Then adding a setting to link socials Calvin Correli

Lis Alvarez - is this anything that's in the scope, when and if you're looking into the email design settings?
A constant question from my clients is: "where can I set my default email signature?"
Lis Alvarez
Sarah Eskildsen-Mortensen Is this not something the bottom filler copy would accomplish?
Sarah Eskildsen-Mortensen
Lis Alvarez that's only available on the preferred sender program, which only is available on the skyrocket. And having a fixed signature to emails seems to be a very basic need.
We can add footer on lists, but this needs to be done on all lists in that case. In my logic it would be an obvious part of email design just like the header image.
Directory Toolkit
Lis Alvarez This also does a big blank space and smaller subdied text vs being a signature block does it not, so not the same thing I do not think.

Possibility to add a Standard Signature for all emails
Sarah Eskildsen-Mortensen
Hi team
I would very much love the possibility to have a standard signature on all emails (just like in outlook), preferably visible when opening a broadcast/email etc. so it's easy to alter if needed.
Kristin Lovelace
Yes
And not just name and title - it shouldn’t also include social icons that can be linked to our various channels ✅✅
Virtual Assistant
Yes please. It’s making it extremely difficult to standardize emails.

This is for sure a good and very valuable request :-)
We just had a Support Ticket where this have been discussed.
We are also using dripped Courses and here we send out automation emails, which is created in 'Email for automations'. Of course all contacts are subscribed on one or more lists, but with the Configure List solution as it is today, then we need to adjust/setup every single list to have this signature.
It would be nice if it was possible to set this up in Setting, Email Design.
All the best,
Lene & René
