Option to use Internal product name in affiliate dashboard
Ayala Salomon-Romem
Hiya! It doesn't make sense that affiliates can't see the internal name for products.
Please can we have a button where we can choose which name the affiliates can see (internal or published). This would really help as we have two products which appear the same to the client, but are actually different, and affiliates need to know which one to send.

Not tracking why not change the public name to differentiate, the internal name is for just that internal. If you want the external name to be different, change the main name, am I missing the use case? You my need to re-explain.

Directory Toolkit Hiya thanks for your reply. Sorry just seen it now!
Here is one example of why we need this feature:
When an affiliate is referred a client, their client needs to pay us higher for the product than if they were not referred (i wont go into why).
For this reason we have two products that are the same, but cost £100 difference.
For the client, the product needs to look the same (therefore needs the same public name), but the internal name says 'referred client'.
We need the affiliate to be able to see the internal name so they know what product to use, however we do not want the client to see 'referred client' on the product name.

Ayala Salomon-Romem That makes more sense now but I think the real question or issue is the fact that the affiliate settings are at the product level vs the price or the variant level because the ideal solution would be for you to select which price points are shown or available to affiliates, that way You would not have to mess with the naming it literally would be the product and the separate pricing is what controls what the affiliate link would see if that makes sense. The way it is now after thinking about it, I just ran a special BF price for items but that may be rock bottom pricing that I would not want to allow what is normally a high affiliate commission rate on this special price but now it would still apply to even that discount price, again because the affiliate rate is at product level and ignores special pricing which I think is an issue. Alternative is to clone the product and make theirs with affiliate pricing open to affiliates and the other not, only show your pricing in your catalog, let affiliate links go to the higher price when they share only. that I think is the workaround.
