It's important to have an image for the blog post feed and for any social sharing, but I'd like the option to not show the image on top of the post itself, when the featured image doesn't add that much value to the post.

Edited: I made up a template for blog post featured images I'm going to be trying for a while, and it seems to look good at the top of the posts, so I'm not sure I would want to take it off after all. However, I'll leave this idea up in case it's needed by anyone else. The flexibility is always helpful.
