GROUP SCHEDULING
Lance Miguel Guerra
We have a need of scheduling multiple people at the same time for a podcast. The challenge is with scheduling links, we can only book one person per time slot, and we'd like for people to signup to available slots, with a limitation to the number of participants. Once it's full, it would be nice if it will not show in the customers' view anymore.

Calvin Correli Here is the major disconnect. I literally just realized months in that the scheduling was only for one person not group capable. This is a feature any other booking software has. I get events can be for multiple people but the whole point is those are predefined times, booking is not. So for a client who books a time as seen in the image below from Justines training there are two participants her and the scheduler. the participants tab says two but will only ever be two. What happens when she wants two other people from here team to join the zoom call. They are all in my CRM and I cannot add any more participants. This will and forver be only 2 for a 1 on 1 call. Why? Whay can I not add other participants. I did the same thing where someone from the team booked a call on behlaf of the client since they were not at a comiputer calling from a phone but now I was basically booked with myself and couldn't add them to the call. Anyway, also confusing why a booking shows as an event but then is not "converted" to an event to allow multiple participants. Not sure how ou want to fix but this is so ubiquitous that I assumed this was always a thing and makes it look very non-functional without it.

Is this a group class type functionality?
That would be the point of Events.
What's missing from Events to do that for you?

Calvin Correli: From my point of view,
1) Ability to set a limit on attendance. For example, this coaching session is limited to 5 total attendees. You can handle this by having a product that people purchase that is limited in quantity, but there is a separate request that describes how this is difficult https://simplero.canny.io/feature-requests/p/more-customisation-with-event-registration-button
2) Perhaps, the way it's displayed? Like, the scheduler shows a week view and a visual representation of your calendar overlaid on the scheduler, so it's easy to see what times are available and what work for me. In contrast, the events just displays as a list. One thing that would be cool is if events displayed in the meeting scheduler! Like, most of the time is displayed simply as busy/free, but if there's a Simplero event at that time, display the event in the scheduler with a link to register. I can think of several ways this would be useful: drive traffic/interest towards events. Also I have several conferences I'm going to listed as events (with registration disabled) so it would be cool for my clients to see immediately, oh the reason I can't book an appointment next week is because she's in Montreal for that cool conference that I'm also going to.

This post also has good feedback. The ability to search/filter by event type https://requests.simplero.com/feature-requests/p/class-bookings

I have a similar use case but I'm thinking this is not so much an easy fix because Simplero already has EVENTS. Events are designed to support multiple sign-ups but meetings do not. Maybe the request here is to set a capacity limit for Events?

Yes please!!
