Emojis As Bullet Points inside Course Lessons In New Community Experience
Alexander Dunlop
Please include in the new community experience the ability to have as bullet points, happy face and sad face emojis.
In the "old" course lessons, using CSS, concierge built us happy faces and sad faces as emoji bullet points. These happy faces and sad faces are part of our current user-experience and we want to include that branded experience in the new Community experience.

Alexander Dunlop Using the new Simplero Editor you can add emojis to the course lesson body and build your own custom bullet list with them.
Would that work or am I missing anything here?

Lis Alvarez Thank you. :-)
Two things.
- We've already built out 365 days, one lesson per day, of our Daily Game program. And inside those lessons, Concierge had built for us Custom CSS emoji bullet point lists. So to utilize the new emoji feature, we would have to edit 365 course lessons. Thats a task we could do... but
a) we did pay for Concierge already to create the Custom CSS (back in the day when Concierge did paid-for-you work). So we'd now be back-tracking and repaying someone (my assistant) to edit these lessons.
and
b) when I did a sample check of the emoji feature in the new editor, what I notice is that if the text runs on to a second line, then the emoji does not function like a bullet point. Meaning: the text of the second line returns to the left margin and does not indent to match the text above it. It makes it much less readable and not as clean looking.
So, our
best solution
would be to be able to simply import our Custom CSS emoji bullet list (that we already paid for) into the new Community Experience. If that is not possible,
second-best
would be for the emojis in the new editor to function like a bullet-point with left-indented text for the entirety of the text associated with that emoji bullet point. And in this case, too, I would still like to discuss some recompense for the money we paid Concierge to build for us a feature that is now outdated and requires our labor to edit all 365 course lessons.I hope this helps to clarify.
Thank you for your time and attention.
:-)

Alexander Dunlop got it. There's an active discussion on CSS in the Simplero Community that gives some context.
I believe you are in touch with support regarding your particular Concierge case. That should be escalated to management by the support team if they haven't yet. I'll follow up internally on that too.
