It is currently possible to add custom sections on the blog overview page.

For the new blog post template, it isn't currently possible to add a custom page section below the three default sections on the page.

I'd love if this was possible - i currently have a newsletter sign-up form in the foooter of the blog post page using the old design and find the flexibility really is good to have.
