Coupon Code Access for Courses
Ray Castle
PROBLEM: From what I can gather in order to provide a product (course) to a user it is not possible for admin to send out a Coupon Code. We have to get the freebie link with limited control on the # who can access.
FEATURE REQUEST/SOLUTION: provide the option to create a single coupon code (with function to set the # of unique coupon code uses) that could be sent out to users. The product(course) could still be showing as live and used for realtime site interaction testing, or offer as an additional "incentive" check the emails, post on social media to drive free content, etc.

I don't understand the problem. Why can't you send out a coupon code? I send out coupon codes all the time. Yes, there's no option to limit the code use per user, which could very well be a feature request. But you can set the price to only be valid, say, if the user hasn't already purchased the course. Simplero does not nicely let you set up, say, 50 different individual single-use coupon codes, but it can let you set up one 5-use coupon code and use the settings to limit it to one per user.

Ali Ryder: unless I am not understanding the function of the coupon codes...this would be set up so that we could identify a user (already in the system) to receive a unique coupon code that is autogenerated. From my experience, we have to create a coupon code single (for 1 user) or a simple coupon code that we share without control if it is shared with non-intended users. hope that clarified my request.

Ray Castle: Yeah, okay I understand now. I think you can probably do the behaviour you are looking for by using the "Add conditions" feature, although you might have to think about it slightly differently. For example, give everyone eligible a tag, and then the coupon is only good for people who have that specific tag, and once they make a purchase, remove the tag from them using triggers and automations.
