Better Templates from 2.0 Site Builder (honestly)
Tiger Singleton
Sorry, but I'm painfully stunned when I look at the templates available for the 2.0 site builder. To me (and maybe it's just me), it looks like these were put together by a 12 year old. Which also comes across as looking like Simplero just doesn't care.
Like the images attached, do these look like professional templates, for someone who wants to create somethings that's readable and presentable. Sure, we can change the color of the text, but to present it this way, as an offered template, makes the whole 2.0 experience feel dull and uninspired.
This kind of thing is what makes me still hesitate, even after 3/4 years of using Simplero, to completely move everything over, while always keeping my eye out on alternatives.

I have had a long standing concern that the web pages of the core builder lack a sharpness that is found in other platforms. I am not sure what the explanation is but it is quite marked.

(Just realized, this is like Directory Toolkit 's reply regarding a template marketplace)
I have 2 comments here:
- It would help me more to be able to look at great full page templates, not just sections. You guys recently did a video where I think a Marie Forleo page was done in the new builder - that's an example of something to add to the templates.
- As it relates to #1, if users had the ability to bundle up their best pages or sections (page/section+graphics+style guide) and upload them to a community area where others could benefit from them it would be great. I understand this is wider feature, but it has the benefits of a) the community templates would be less stale and perhaps state of the art, and b) the work of adding new stuff is done by the community.

Perhaps we need a template marketplace since we have the ability to port over with the done for you campaigns. I'll be replicating some sites over in the new builder for clients to purchase.

The color on the text etc. is pulling from the style guide connected to the page, which makes sense but will make the templates in some cases like the picture you've attached behave problematic as your text coloring may collide with the background image. See the colors here are not the same even though it's the same template:

I share this concern.

I would like to see more varied, simple templates that I can adapt to my style.
