Address field "Region"

In Sweden (and probably many other countries as well) we never use the address field "region".
It's confusing and a potential blocker for sales as it might be seen as non-professional.
Please make it possible to hide this field or at least so that it is not mandatory.

Hi,
It is ok to remove in Sweden - if it is not needed to control the VAT rate?

I really think this should be a no brainer for the tech dep. since it's already implemented for e.g. Denmark. You just have to realise that Sweden is the same – the regions are not important and never used in addresses.
Please take them away!!!!!

I second this comment. This is really not a necessary field, and is a blocker for sales. please make the field optional, so that it can be hidden.
I am just about to launch the webshop and would really like to have this resolved before then :)
